About

I started this business about four years ago out of my cubicle while working in advertising. I was lucky that the company I worked for valued entrepreneurialism because I was slinging necklaces from my cube for about a year.  After around a year of doing that, I realized I was busy enough that I couldn’t keep growing this business while working a full time job. Around that time I also found out I was pregnant with our first son Thompson, so I decided to leave my 9-5 and pursue my own business.
Fast forward three years, and hundreds of thousands of beads, I’m now a mother of two living my dream. Being a mom (and a wife to an amazing husband), working and making money for our family, and getting to exercise my creativity on a daily basis. This business has allowed our family to do so many things. We’ve been on family trips, paid off all of our consumer debt and student loans, and have been able to give far more than I ever imagined through jewelry donations and fundraisers.
Laura Cox Designs has become so much more to me than just a jewelry business. It’s a community, a group of women who do share a similar style in accessories, but also my sounding board, advice givers, prayer warriors, and friends. It’s been a wild and crazy three years, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store!
